Sound On! Meet two-year old Aoi. After each class of her brother Itsuki at Baumhaus , Aoi would come up to me, and we’d sing this song together. This child has an incredible sense of pitch, and is proof that with repetition and play, toddlers acquire new words & songs with growing awareness and accuracy. When she jumps that last octave with full bravura, you know that that spunk and spirit cannot be taught— she just “has it.” All that wonder for child development aside, she gives us a great reminder.
